About the Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technology Consultant at our Hinckley and Ashbourne depots.

Your role will be to help our customers maximise performance, uptime and reduce the cost of operations for their business via a range of consultancy services. Equipment training, optimisation, Precision Ag Sales, data analysis and Connectivity are the key aspects of these services. Part of your role will also involve supporting our Ag Sales department with technical sales support and demonstrations.

As the Depot’s specified Technology Consultant, you’ll be an ambassador for Farol and all that we offer.Your objective is to take a personal role in delivering excellence to each and every one of our customers, both internal and external, ensuring that they receive a first-class service with the focus on demonstrating our Company Values at all times.

Your day to day duties will involve:

  • Being the main point of contact for Precision Ag support for your depot
  • Supporting the Sales Professionals to demonstrate, configure and order Precision Ag solutions
  • Supporting, delivering & optimising plans, including optimising performance, technology utilisation, reducing costs, operating efficiencies, etc
  • Supporting local agronomic field demonstrations
  • Comparing and evaluating competitive equipment and Precision Ag applications
  • Supporting our Centralised Connected Support department in the implementation and execution of Precision Ag support


About You

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience & skills:

  • Previous experience of working in or knowledge and understanding of farming, farm management, precision Ag equipment and Agronomy (this is an essential requirement)
  • A relevant technical qualification (such as an Agricultural Engineering)/good all-round technical knowledge of agricultural machinery would be advantageous or having
  • A driving license is essential
  • Strong customer service and customer facing skills
  • The ability to work self-motivate and work individually, managing your own workload and also able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail

About the Package

Basic salary in the region of £27,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience, bonus scheme, 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), company vehicle, company pension, employee discount for Farol products and services

Hours and place of work

8am - 5pm Monday to Friday plus overtime

Hinckley depot (LE10 0NB) and surrounding areas OR Ashbourne depot (DE6 2EL) and surrounding areas
