Service Manager – Kilmeedy, Co. Limerick
We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Service Manager to join our team at Geary’s Garage Ltd. in Kilmeedy. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of service appointments, managing customer inquiries and requests, and ensuring smooth operations in our service department. The Service Manager serves as a key point of contact for customers, technicians, and others.
- Coordinate service appointments by exchanging information with customers, technicians, and other relevant parties.
- Schedule and prioritise appointments based on urgency and availability of technicians.
- Monitor and manage service calendars to ensure efficient scheduling and on-time delivery of services.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of service requests, appointments, and customer interactions in our database.
- Coordinate with technicians and other staff to facilitate the smooth flow of service operations.
- Communicate relevant information to technicians, ensuring they have all necessary details and equipment to complete service jobs efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and parts, to ensure effective communication and provide seamless customer experiences.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry, technical service, and parts business.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or machinery industry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate equally well with mechanics, customers, and senior management.
- Proficiency in using computer software and databases for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage stressful situations calmly and professionally.
