Role overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organised and motivated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team in our head office in Ripon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing of invoices.

Ripon Farm Services are one of the UK's largest John Deere dealers, covering 14 sites across Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire. We specialise in the sale and aftersales support of agricultural and ground care equipment.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for managing and processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reconciliation, while maintaining effective communication and organisational skills.

Hours of work - 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the accurate & efficient processing of supplier invoices, expenses forms, credit card receipts, petty cash sheets & other data entry in Ibcos Gold
  • Preparing payment runs and processing payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements & credit card statements and obtaining any missing invoices & resolving any queries
  • Setting up new suppliers and verifying bank details
  • Posting journals and allocating payments
  • Resolving Aged Creditors queries
  • Other ad hoc duties and covering other duties during employee absences
