Tallis Amos are currently in growth and we now have an exciting new role that we are looking to fill.
The Product Support and Technical Training Manager is a crucial position in our development as we strive towards excellence for our customers by delivering expertise both internally and externally. We believe strongly that quality begins at home and it is with this in mind we offer this position.
The role will have overall responsibility for the delivery of technical training to aftermarket staff and providing technical support for internal and external customers in line with John Deere technical communicator strategy. We will be looking at gap analysis to identify key areas where we are able to upskill our workforce. This will involve identifying and communicating skills gaps and taking part in regular training to develop skills and knowledge base as well as monitoring local training and upskill short fall measured by KPI’s.
The role will also help to deliver specified training, quality and safety in line with John Deere organisation around Service Advisor Diagnostics, Hydraulic and Hydrostatic Diagnostics as well as Electrical and Electronic Diagnosis. The position will be the interface and resource for technicians, service managers and parts lead alike to assist with diagnosis, repair and best practice. The applicant will identify, report and action continuous improvement opportunities within our business around the service and parts process.
Candidates who possess great attention to detail, take pride in completing a job to the highest standard possible and are self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously will excel in the role. You should have proven pedigree within agricultural machinery, ideally within John Deere and our associated products but a deep technical understanding of competitor machinery is also acceptable. We believe the role will suit a person who has been involved in Agricultural Service Engineering or similar and is looking for their next step on the career ladder.
