About the Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Department at our Oxfordshire Head Office. As the Management Accountant, you will produce monthly management accounts and sales commission reports. You will business partner with budget holders and stakeholders. You will also assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and statutory accounts. 

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of month-end journals, accruals & prepayments.
  • Conduct full analysis of all P&L accounts.
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of Monthly Reporting commentaries on key variances to budget in line with the month-end timetable
  • Business partnering
  • Sales commission accounting
  • Sales reporting and analysis
  • Assist with budgets and forecasts
  • Assist with year-end statutory account preparation
  • Assist with tax matters, corporation tax computation preparation, VAT,
  • Assist the year-end auditors providing answers to any queries in a timely manner.
  • Support other Finance functions (Accounts Payable, Sales Admin, Accounts Receivable)
  • Completing 'Office for National Statistics’ questionnaires

About You

The successful candidate will posses the following skills/experience:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified/Part Qualified
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant position
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • The ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • The ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

About the Package

Basic salary of approximately £40k - £50k (dependent on experience) plus bonus scheme, 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), company pension, cycle to work scheme, onsite parking.
