We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our Service/Sales department as a Machinery Valeter. The role will be split between working 3 days a week at our Piddlehinton depot and 2 days at our Blashford depot. This role is very varied as it will be valeting a vast amount of John Deere, Kramer, Isuzu D-Max Pick-Ups, Club Car, Kuhn, Yanmar machinery (plus many more franchises).

To be successful for this role, you will have a high level of attention to detail and be able to effectively communicate with your colleagues. You enjoy working as part of a team, are naturally very proactive and conscientious in your working style, always working to the best of your ability.

About the role

  • Preparation of new and used combines, SPFH, tractors, machinery, Kramer’s, grounds care equipment, lawn mowers, Club Cars, and Isuzu trucks
  • Initial preparation for cleaning – sometimes with an airline
  • Pressure washer cleaning
  • Sponge / wash-brush cleaning
  • T-Cut panel work
  • Polishing & detailing exteriors
  • Cleaning cab interiors – including any upholstery & seats
  • Re-painting metal work (front grill / link arms / wheel rims) on used equipment
  • Tyre cleaning & blackening
  • Fitting cab accessories (seat covers / control box brackets)
  • Delivering / moving machines to and from customers and events
  • Cleaning machines on site at shows and events

Qualifications and Experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure as workload can come in peaks and troughs
  • Ability to learn additional skills during quieter periods
  • Overtime (later finish time & Saturday mornings) can be available at times but not essential, which will be paid at overtime rate
