A John Deere apprenticeship combines training, problem solving and team work with paid employment at a John Deere dealership.
You will work at a John Deere dealership but also spend time at the John Deere Apprentice Training Centre and at John Deere’s Head Office, both near Nottingham. You are supported by a designated Learning Advisor and by your employing dealer, gaining valuable workplace skills by undertaking practical tasks and experiencing real-life challenges. You will be provided with an individually tailored learning plan, with progress monitored by your Learning Advisor who will make regular visits to you in your dealership for on the job review and guidance.
Our Apprentice Parts Advisor’s report to the depot Parts Manager and play a central part in our mission to provide excellent customer experiences. Our parts department is a busy place, from serving customers both in person and on the phone to ensuring our stock is correct. Excellent customer service is a must, we expect all our customers to get the same outstanding levels of customer service.
In addition to customer-facing duties, this role will also spend time supporting the set out of the retail store and conducting stock takes. Customers both external and internal, our Apprentice Parts Advisers support the workshop and ensure that the correct parts are available when jobs are undertaken, working with our colleagues to identify parts, pick parts from stock and/or order parts as required. Experience in a parts department is preferred but not essential. You will develop an excellent working knowledge of our products John Deere, Kuhn and Dal-bo to name a few and use the tools provided be able to answer the customer's queries.
